This is thanks to my Barbara Brennan chakra healer , who wrote an article on chakra healing of cancer in a local freebie alternative health magazine, the Green Handbook http://www.greenhandbook.co.uk/ (just acquired a website) - I picked it up when I was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago. So I told the NHS to back off (the Cumberland Infirmary didn't care about the M.E., all they could see was the cancer) and have been cancer-free for two and a half years thanks to him. At our first meeting I told him that the cancer was NOT my main problem and he agreed. He also told me that he could SEE the M.E. , as mucus in my chakras.

Aged 47, husband with M.E. since 1993, self with M.E. since 1995, great jubilation today. Attended a talk on homoeopathy last night and a friend said of me, "She has M.E." and I suddenly realised that this was no longer true as far as mindset was concerned and was obliged to tell her this morning that I AM RECOVERING FROM M.E..

Actually having somebody say that they could SEE the M.E. was very healing.
He calls it process work. Sometimes it's hands-on healing and some of it's in-depth counselling and that doesn't describe it by all means but that's as much as I feel able or willing to say about it.

I know that M.E. varies from person to person, so what I would like to know is; What one thing above everything has most helped in your recovery? I know that this is a boring question, but it is the best thst I can think of at the moment. My number one is PACING.

Tip from a Wellie: "I would advise anyone with mild to mid ME (or any of the variants thereof) to look at the Expert Patient Programme as their first step to moving from patient to person. It’s not for everyone and courses can vary in quality but they are a good starting point." Details can be found at: http://www.expertpatients.nhs.uk/course_details.shtml Does anyone have any further experience around the Expert Patient Programme, or similar programmes which they've found useful?

Recovery Story in Interaction June 06 This morning I put on my high-heeled boots and went to work. Just typing that makes me realise quite how far I’ve come. It is of course quite something to have a job.But high-heeled boots? Hallelujah! They’re my first pair of proper high heels in 9 years. At a guess I’m now around 80-90% well. I’m still a person with M.E. and fibromyalgia* and I suspect the illness may be a friend for life. But with every year that passes I win back a little more function, energy and stamina and my brain works more clearly, bringing me a bit more of the normal stuff that well people take for granted. .... continued in attached word document |
